Ron's patriotic enthusiasm was such that he bombarded his US Navy superiors, his Congressmen and the FBI with bright ideas on how the US could win the war. One such was a scheme for creating a United States Air Force, which he sent to his Senator, Pat McCarran. Ron Hubbard, had been responsible for the creation of the US Air Force.
