Mr. Waterman, a manager at Pacific Bell, Rohnert Park, CA called me this morning (7-Aug-95, 11:30AM PDT) to report that someone had convincingly lied to get the details of my phone bill, including phone numbers called. Mr. Waterman said that although the person did not have the code that I put on my phone bill (after warning from Jeff), he had other details of my life such as social security number, mother's maiden name, previous phone bills, etc. etc. and said that he had recently suffered a stroke and couldn't remember the code. After he started getting extremely abusive, Mr Waterman gave him the details of the bill. When Mr. Waterman called my number to verify the call, I told him he had been defrauded and that I was unhappy that Pacific Bell had not *demanded* the passcode, regardless of the convincing lies of Eugene Martin Ingram, criminal cult detective and associates. Mr. Waterman is now contacting Pac Bell Security and is going to provide an affidavit to me about the incident. We are going to a new level of security. These calls represent calls to several continents and a score of states. According to Pat with Team 5 at the Mesa, AZ AT&T account services, the impersonator called earlier this PM. Pat said that I had no code on my accounts (I did and had earlier verified it as I did with Pacific Bell). AT&T suggested I put an "L" code on my local carrier bill that supposedly would require *written* authorization before releasing my records. Also, Doug Waterman of Pacific Bell (Rohnert Park, CA office) filled me in on his conversation (undoubtedly with criminal Eugene Martin Ingram) that Eugene claimed he had had a "stroke" and had to talk slurred and funny. Mr. Waterman suggested that the impersonator might try to change my long distance carrier without permission. He suggested that to guarantee AT&T carrier dial 10288 before long distance calls from home. Obviously I am not pleased with either AT&T or Pacific Bell and I suggest that everyone who has a code on their bill make at least *triple-check* at some intervals to make sure that the codes are in place AND that *anyone* without the code be denied access *even if* they have your mother's maiden name, driver license number, social security number, date of birth, or any information from previous bills. Make *sure* they put this data on this account *while you wait* and have them read it back to you. Then check not just once (I did) but at least three times over several months for *every* number you use. Do not forget your bank accounts and credit cards, too. Of course being a consummate liar, Gene will eventually be able to get around these defense too in order to carry out the criminal acts ordered by the criminal cult of scientology its bosses, Mike Rinder, David Miscavige, and lying attorney Helena K. Kobrin, but there is no point in making this *easier* for them. Does anyone have a tape of DOPEy Gene's voice to see if we can get a Federal warrant for him for this new crime? It was postmarked 26 Aug 1995 from return address P.O. Box 2907, Rohnert Park, California 94927 1 (800) 924-9258. Here is the first paragraph: August 22, 1995 Pacific Bell A Pacific Telesis Company Re: 707-826-7712 and 707-826-7715 Dear Mr. Ward, I am providing this document as a confirmation of our verbal contact of August 7, 1995. At that time I indicated to you that a caller had contacted Pacific Bell and presented himself as you. The caller had sufficient identification and information about your account to convince us that he was in fact, Grady Ward. Despite the fact that we had attempted to secure your account via a password, the caller was so thoroughly convincing as he described "his recent stroke and the subsequent vision problems and memory loss that he had suffered" that he effectively manipulated us into discussing your account. His act was very well rehearsed including labored breathing and slurred speech which resulted from the "stroke". He seemed most interested in changing his long distance company and confirming the amounts and dates of his most recent payments on both your accounts. Of course he wanted the password removed as well since he was no longer able to remember such things. It was not until after the close of the contact that my suspicions were aroused as I realized that the slurred speech had disappeared.
