Tidbit news from a lurker: a Quebec, (Canada) judge just condemned the 
'Church' of Scientology to re-imburse fees paid in advance for courses 
that were not taken by clients. His ruling simply stated that *any* 
church cannot be exempted from the Quebec's Consumer Protection Law, 
which require any kind of school, organisation, etc. to offer 
re-imbursement for goods or services not delivered or not taken. The 
'Church' of Scientology argued that this provision infringed upon the 
Canadian and Quebecer sections dealing with freedom of religion of their 
respective Chart of Freedoms. The 'Church' is likely to file an appeal.
